In 2018, NFL Players had the opportunity to participate in the NFL's annual My Cause, My Cleats campaign during a designated home game between Weeks 13-15. Feliciano and his teammates represented their respective causes with custom-designed cleats in an effort to raise awareness and funding. Feliciano chose to raise awareness for gun violence and supported March For Our Lives, an organization striving for a future free of gun violence.
When Feliciano's daughter was born in 2017, he named her Shawn Cole after his late best friend Sean Cole who drowned his rookie year. Feliciano's childhood had some obstacles. Felicano moved to King's Manor Trailer Park in Davie, FL following his parents' divorce, where it wasn't a guarantee that any of the heat, water or electricity would be on. His mother, Alicia, survived two bouts with cancer, and his younger brother, Chris was born deaf. Feliciano used these obstacles as inspiration, his brother and mother drove him to succeed. And he leaned on his friendship with Sean for support. The two had an inseprable bond, Feliciano's wife, Shannon, even jokes that she needed Sean's approval to date Jon. "Without those guys, I wouldn't have made it," Feliciano said, of Cole and thier friend Josh Palmer's positive influences in diffi- cult surroundings. "I did a good job of staying away from the bad stuff in my life, realizing that it wasn't the norm. My friends helped me to get to that point."
