The San Francisco 49ers have a number of players with new injuries to monitor as they open up Week 13. Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (knee), left guard Aaron Banks (concussion), cornerback Renardo Green (neck) and defensive lineman Jordan Elliott (concussion) all exited Sunday's contest against the Green Bay Packers early, and the team added defensive back Deommodore Lenoir (knee) and right guard Dominick Puni (shoulder) to the injury list by the time head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media on Monday afternoon.
Below are the latest updates on new injuries emerging from Week 12:
- OL Dominick Puni (shoulder): awaiting MRI results
- DB Deommodore Lenoir (knee): awaiting MRI results
- LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (knee): considered day-to-day
- CB Renardo Green (neck): considered day-to-day

Practice Window Updates
A big reinforcement may be on the way for San Francisco with linebacker Dre Greenlaw (Achilles) getting the green light for his practice window to be opened. The veteran linebacker suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Super Bowl LVIII and has been working diligently to make his return in 2024.
"We are going to open (his practice window) this week," Shanahan said. "He should be able to start practicing this Wednesday."
Outside of the two years (2021 and 2024) that Greenlaw suffered significant injuries, the sixth-year pro has finished No. 2 on the team in total tackles behind All-Pro Fred Warner.
Shanahan had less positive news to share regarding another player on Injured Reserve, offensive lineman Jon Feliciano.
"Jon is going to stay on IR," Shanahan said. "His knee hasn't responded the right way, unfortunately for Jon and us. I just had a talk with him a little bit ago, he's going to have to stay on IR."
Existing Injury Updates
- QB Brock Purdy (shoulder): light throwing on Monday which Shanahan said was a "good sign" that the pain had not come back. The plan is to rest the shoulder Tuesday and see how Purdy feels as the week goes.
- DL Nick Bosa (hip/oblique): will be evaluated throughout the week
- OL Trent Williams (ankle): will be evaluated throughout the week
- WR Jacob Cowing (concussion): still in the concussion protocol
- DL Kevin Givens (groin): has a "possible" chance to get back into practice this week
- CB Charvarius Ward (personal): the plan is for him to practice in full this week, last week he got a lot of work in mostly with the scout team
