Williams, Hufanga and Samuel Sr. Questionable for Week 4 vs. Patriots; Injury Report #NEvsSF

The San Francisco 49ers continue to battle through injuries in Week 4 with a couple additional players earning injury designations headed into the weekend. Left tackle Trent Williams (toe) and safety Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) are the newest names on the injury report after sitting out of Friday's workout.

"(Hufanga) rolled his ankle yesterday," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "(Williams) came in this morning with it sore. He backed it up a little bit in practice yesterday, and it was too sore for him to go today."

Another injury surfacing from Thursday includes a season-ending ACL tear for linebacker Curtis Robinson.

On a positive note, defensive lineman Jordan Elliott was able to participate in the team's final practice of the week on a limited basis after suffering a foot injury on Thursday. President of football operations and general manager John Lynch detailed Elliott's injury situation on a KNBR radio show ahead of Shanahan's Friday press conference.

"He stepped on someone's foot... Kind of rolled his ankle," Lynch said. "We got some positive news on him, that probably wasn't a typical cart situation."

Wideout Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) heads into Sunday's matchup also as questionable, however, two-straight days of limited practice indicate he's headed in the right direction with his calf strain. Tight end George Kittle dropped off the list after being full-go for the first time this week.
