Thursday night's primetime matchup could mark the return of a couple of big-time defensive players for the San Francisco 49ers. Defensive lineman Nick Bosa (hip/oblique) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (Achilles) have been listed as questionable in the team's final injury report of the week. On Wednesday, Bosa was upgraded to a limited participant in the team's walkthrough activities for the first time since aggravating his hip/oblique injuries against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11. Meanwhile, Greenlaw is in the third week of his practice window from the Reserver/Physically Unable to Perform list. While the 49ers have yet to decide if they will activate him to the 53-man roster, the option remains on the table as of Monday.
"There's a chance to (activate him to the 53-man roster)," head coach Kyle Shanahan said at the start of the week. "We'll see. I haven't talked to him yet, so we'll see when he gets in here (Tuesday), how he's feeling, how practice goes Tuesday and Wednesday and make our decision then."
The head coach reiterated the team's approach again prior to the team's Tuesday activities.
Rookie running back Isaac Guerendo's game status is also listed as questionable. He is working through a foot sprain he suffered versus the Chicago Bears and was a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough. If Guerendo cannot go against the Rams, it will be Patrick Taylor Jr. leading the 49ers ground game.
