Fred Warner, George Kittle Questionable for Week 5 vs. Cardinals; Injury Report #AZvsSF

The San Francisco 49ers will have a shot at getting two of their biggest playmakers back in the lineup in time for the team's Week 5 matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals. All-Pros Fred Warner (ankle) and George Kittle (ribs) were sidelined for Wednesday and Thursday's practices with their respective injuries but were able to rejoin the team on a limited basis for the final workout of the week. The forward progress earned them both questionable injury designations headed into the weekend.

It also bodes well for the 49ers interior D-line that both Kevin Givens (triceps) and Jordan Elliott (knee) were upgraded to full participants in practice on Friday. Even with both avoiding injury designation, it's likely the team will once again look to one or more practice squad members - Evan Anderson, T.Y. McGill, Jonathan Garvin or Alex Barrett - to add depth to a defensive tackle rotation that recently lost Javon Hargrave to a season-ending triceps injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan also noted that he expects to move defensive lineman Kalia Davis, who had his Injured Reserve practice window open up this week, up to the 53-man roster.
