Biography

Was a two-year starter on Northville (MI) HS's baseball team playing third base and pitcher. He clocked in the low 80s from the mound and was a career .300 hitter.
Played soccer until he was 11 years old and began kicking footballs in the sixth grade.
Once met his idol, NFL K Matt Prater at a Detroit pizza parlor and was so excited to meet Prater that he blew off HOF WR Calvin Johnson, who eventually introduced himself during the conversation.

During the 2022 college football season, Moody set out to raise $25,000 for the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in support of innovative and groundbreaking pediatric cancer research through 'Money Moody's Good for 3' Campaign. Good for 3 had a weekly sponsor that donated $300 for every field goal Moody
made during that particular game of the season. He also challenged fans to donate on game days to double or even triple the impact of the gifts made by sponsors. By the end of the season, Moody had exceeded his goal.
In March of 2023 while preparing for the NFL draft, Moody took time to visit his former elementary school to read to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.

Appeared in 60 games in five years (2018-22) at Michigan and converted 69 of 84 FGAs (82.1%) as well as all 148 of his PATs for 355 total points. Set Michigan records in games played (60) and points (355). Earned Second-Team All-American honors and First- Team All-Big Ten honors in 2022 after he appeared in 13 games and converted 29 of 35 FGAs and all 60 of his PATs for 147 points. Won the Lou Groza Award and earned First-Team All-American honors and First-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2021, appeared in all 14 games and converted 23 of 25 FGAs and all 56 of his PATs for 125 points. As a junior in 2020, converted all 9 of his PATs and 1 of 4 FGAs for 12 points. As a sophomore in 2019, appeared in all 13 games as a kickoff specialist. Also converted all 18 PATs and 5 of 8 FGAs for 31 points. As a freshman in 2018, appeared in all 13 games as a kickoff specialist and converted 10 of 11 FGAs and all 5 of his PATs for 35 points.

With 9 points at Arz. (12/17/23), Moody set the franchise's rookie record for most points scored in a single season [Doug Brien – 107 points; Wade Richey – 103 points; Roger Craig – 72 points].
