Shanahan Shares Injury Updates on Floyd, Hufanga and More Following #SFvsLV

Following the conclusion of the preseason slate against the Las Vegas Raiders, head coach Kyle Shanahan offered the following updates on several players with outstanding injuries:

  • DL Leonard Floyd suffered a knee injury in the first quarter of Friday's matchup and is day-to-day.
  • DL Yetur Gross-Matos also suffered a knee injury early in Friday's preseason finale and will be week-to-week. The head coach noted that there has not been discussion of the Injured Reserve list when it comes to Gross-Matos and that the hope is "... he'll have a chance to get back in practice next week for Week One."
  • LB Dee Winters has an ankle injury and is expected to have an MRI Monday to give a clearer picture of his injury timeline.
  • WR Ricky Pearsall (shoulder), who did not suit up for the preseason finale, is expected to practice on Monday.
  • As for S Talanoa Hufanga, the head coach mentioned the team will have to decide whether or not to have him start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list or not before Wednesday's practice.
