Power Rankings: Where the 49ers Stand Headed Into Week 7

The San Francisco 49ers enjoyed a mini bye following their 36-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on "Thursday Night Football," and returned to action on Monday as the leaders of the NFC West. The team's dominant performance against their longtime division rival also got them back to .500 ahead of their Super Bowl LVIII rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7. Standouts from San Francisco's big win at Lumen Field included defensive lineman Nick Bosa, who had 14 total pressures on the night, rookies Malik Mustapha and Renardo Green, both of whom notched their career-first interceptions and quarterback Brock Purdy, who remains a perfect 5-0 against the Seahawks with a 129.3 passer rating in this most recent outing.

The 49ers will have to contend with a number of new injuries headed into this next matchup. A couple of the most notable injuries include an AC shoulder sprain to running back Jordan Mason, who is currently the NFL's second leading rusher, and an ankle sprain to Mustapha, who has stepped in for the injured Talanoa Hufanga.

Let's take a look at what national outlets had to say about the 49ers roster following their Week 6 performance:

Eric Edholm, Lead Draft Writer

"Brock Purdy had a good game overall, while Deebo Samuel Sr. and George Kittle both stepped up in Thursday's important win at Seattle. It was also a rare big night for San Francisco rookies, as Isaac Guerendo, Renardo Green and Malik Mustapha (before he left with an injury) played big roles in the victory. The 49ers absolutely could not afford to crawl into a matchup against a rested Chiefs team this week with a 2-4 mark, and now they have a chance to get back over .500 with a statement by beating their AFC nemesis. Getting another rookie back in first-round receiver Ricky Pearsall would help, as his practice window opened Monday. Expecting instant coffee from Pearsall might be optimistic, but it's never a bad thing adding a potential playmaker to the mix."

Nick Wagoner, ESPN NFL Nation

Bleacher Report NFL Staff Writers

"After downing the Seahawks in Seattle, the San Francisco 49ers have reclaimed first place in the NFC West."

Mike Florio, Editor in Chief of Pro Football Talk

"When they find the gas pedal, everyone else might need to get out of the way."

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports Senior Writer

"Winning at Seattle was big for this banged-up team."
