Power Rankings: Where the 49ers Stand Headed Into Week 11

The San Francisco 49ers returned from the Bye week with reinforcements, adding running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles), wide receiver Jauan Jennings (hip) and kicker Jake Moody (right ankle) back into the mix after all three missed time due to their respective injuries. With the trio back in action and noteworthy play from quarterback Brock Purdy (350-plus passing yards), tight end George Kittle (an impressive toe-tapping touchdown), rookie Ricky Pearsall (his first-career touchdown) and clutch red zone defense, the 49ers put together a gritty 23-20 walkoff win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road.

Entering Week 11, San Francisco is back above .500 and ready to continue their push for the postseason. Their win over Tampa Bay gives them sole possession of the No. 2 spot in the division that's currently being led by the 6-4 Arizona Cardinals.

Let's take a look at what national outlets had to say about the 49ers roster following their Week 10 performance:

Eric Edholm, Lead Draft Writer

"... Christian McCaffrey's return to the field was steadier. He totaled 107 yards on 19 touches, including a 30-yard catch on a brilliant play from Brock Purdy. As long as the big dogs keep producing, the 49ers are in the race, but they still need some general maintenance."

Nick Wagoner, ESPN NFL Nation on a Non-Quarterback MVP

"Aside from the one game he missed, Kittle has been Mr. Dependable on an offense that has had many moving parts. At 31, he is still one of the best-blocking tight ends in the league. He also ranks first among tight ends in receiving yards per game (70) and is second among all pass catchers in touchdown receptions (7)."

Mike Florio, Editor in Chief of Pro Football Talk

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports Senior Writer

"Getting guys like Christian McCaffrey back is big for the playoff push."
