San Francisco running back Isaac Guerendo is one of six rookies nominated for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week award for his impressive Week 8 performance. Guerendo was the "next man up" in the 49ers running back corps following the early exit of Jordan Mason due to a shoulder injury against the Dallas Cowboys, and the the first-year player delivered for San Francisco on "Sunday Night Football." Guerendo was the leader rusher of the game, amassing six carries for 85 yards and touchdown on the ground, and hauled in three catches for 17 yards.
Guerendo was one of three fourth-round selections for the 49ers in the 2024 NFL Draft and has appeared in all eight of San Francisco's contests this season. His biggest workload thus far came against Dallas. The rookie running back played 43 offensive snaps which account for 63 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 8.
