Hufanga, Lenoir and Elliott Set to Return vs. Bears; Inactives for #CHIvsSF

The San Francisco 49ers are on the mend on the defensive side of the ball. In Week 14 against the Chicago Bears, the red and gold will welcome back three starters to its defensive unit, safety Talanoa Hufanga, defensive back Deommodore Lenoir and defensive lineman Jordan Elliott.

Hufanga returns to the field after a stint on the Injured Reserve list due to a wrist injury he suffered in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals. He was activated to the 53-man roster on Saturday and is expected to be playing with a club moving forward. Sunday's matchup marks the second major comeback for Hufanga this year. He began the season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list with an ACL injury dating back to Week 11 of the 2023 campaign.

Lenior and Elliott sat out of San Francisco's battle in the snow against the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. Elliott was working through the league's concussion protocol while Lenoir was dealing with a banged up knee. Both of their injuries came out of the 49ers Week 12 matchup versus the Green Bay Packers.
