The San Francisco 49ers have selected defensive lineman C.J. West from Indiana University with the 113th-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
West played five collegiate seasons, beginning at Kent State before transferring to Indiana for his final year. Over his career, he appeared in 52 games with 48 starts, recording 152 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 9.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two passes defended. He earned third-team All-MAC honors in 2023 and was named honorable mention All-Big Ten in 2024 after posting 42 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks for the Hoosiers.
At 6' 1'' and 316 pounds, his consistent production and experience against both MAC and Big Ten competition make him a valuable addition to the 49ers interior defensive line under defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.
