The San Francisco 49ers have selected cornerback Upton Stout from Western Kentucky University with the 100th-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Stout was a playmaking defensive back throughout his college career, earning first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2024 after recording 52 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, a sack, and an interception across 12 starts. He previously tied for the team lead with four interceptions in 2022, returning one for a touchdown, and added another pick-six in 2023. Across five seasons, including time at North Texas, Stout tallied 166 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, six interceptions, 21 pass breakups, and one forced fumble.
At 5' 9'' and 181 pounds, Stout impressed evaluators at the NFL Combine with his aggressive play style, quick reaction time, and ability to create turnovers. He also brings added value on special teams, with experience as both a punt and kick returner.
