San Francisco 49ers and W Radio Announce Exclusive Broadcast Deal in Mexico

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San Francisco 49ers today announced W Radio as the team's exclusive radio partner in Mexico. As part of the multi-year agreement, W Radio will broadcast all 49ers games, including preseason, to their extensive audience throughout Mexico. Over the course of the deal, W Radio will also collaborate with the 49ers on content and activations throughout Mexico.With a large presence in over 20 Mexican states, W Deportes has built a reputation as the premier sports broadcaster throughout Mexico. Radiopolis garners an average audience of over 522,000 live on-air listeners per hour. The station also boasts 2 million monthly streaming listeners. W Radio produces 24/7 sports coverage that spans global football leagues like Liga MX men's and women's divisions, La Liga, Bundesliga and the English Premier League. They have also covered the NFL, FIFA World Cup and Olympics for over 20 years. Partnering with the 49ers will enable the station to grow their NFL content and coverage, which already includes Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football.

W Radio is part of the 49ers Global Marketing Rights strategy, which launched in 2021 when the organization obtained rights in the U.K. and Mexico through the NFL, and extends the overarching commitment to providing Spanish-language content and coverage for the Mexican Faithful. In addition to producing year-round content on team-owned digital and social channels, the 49ers partner with television giant FOX Sports Mexico to broadcast select 49ers games in the Mexico market.
