Deebo Samuel Sr. Expected to 'Miss a Couple of Weeks' with Calf Injury

On Monday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan added one name to the injury list following the team's 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 49ers receiving yards leader in Week 2, wideout Deebo Samuel Sr., suffered a calf strain that, per Shanahan, is expected to sideline him for "a couple weeks."

  • With three players amassing triple-digit stats (quarterback Brock Purdy (319 passing yards), running back Jordan Mason (100 rushing yards) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (110 receiving yards)), the 49ers finished with a 300-yard passer, a 100-yard rusher and a 100-yard receiver in the same game for the first time since Week 14 of the 2023 season.
