San Francisco 49ers All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner kicked off the Cinco de Mayo celebrations at Levi's® Stadium, welcoming the San Jose Earthquakes for a match against their MLS rivals, the Los Angeles Football Club.
The Quakes hosted the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in Northern California in the 49ers house on Saturday, honoring Mexican heritage during the big match. Fans immersed themselves in a day filled with exciting activations and cultural celebrations.
San Jose natives Sueñatrón set the stage with live performances and Marca MP performed in the halftime show. The Quakes fan fest also included a meet-and-greet with Mexico National Team legend Oswaldo Sánchez, Salinas fighter Ruben Villa, Reynoso and Soltero of The Give N Go Podcast, social media sensations San Jose Foos and TikTok stars Rico and The Mars Family.
Warner took the spotlight as the Earthquakes special guest. He ignited the crowd by sounding the siren to get the match started. Warner's energy carried onto the pitch as San Jose went on to defeat LAFC 3-1 on Saturday night.
