"A Football Life" returns Friday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. PT with a fascinating story on San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young.
The legendary quarterback had a remarkable career in the Bay Area. Young threw for more than 3,000 yards six times and had 20 or more touchdown passes in a season five times. He also posted a quarterback rating of 100 or higher in six seasons. Young was also known for his play-making as a runner. He rushed for 4,239 yards and crossed the goal line 43 times for rushing scores. He was named All-Pro five times, won two Most Valuable Player awards and led the 49ers to a victory in Super Bowl XXIX.
The lefty signal-caller joins the likes of fellow 49ers Hall of Famers Jerry Rice, Bill Walsh and Eddie DeBartolo Jr., who have all been featured on the documentary show produced by NFL Films.
