49ers Select DL Mykel Williams with the No. 11 Pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

The San Francisco 49ers have selected defensive lineman Mykel Williams from the University of Georgia with the 11th-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Williams played three seasons for the Bulldogs and was a key contributor on one of college football's top defenses. He earned Freshman All-American and SEC All-Freshman honors in 2022 and was named second-team All-SEC in both 2023 and 2024. Over his career, he totaled 67 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks.

At the NFL Combine, Williams showed why he's considered one of the top edge rushers in this year's draft. Standing at 6' 5'' and 260 pounds, he impressed scouts with his explosive first step, quick change of direction, and powerful finish. His athleticism and production make him a strong addition to the 49ers pass rush under defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.
