In fall of 2018, Odum returned to Millington Central (TN) HS to have his #5 jersey retired. Odum became just the fifth player in school history to have his jersey retired. He made an impact in all three phases while at Millington Central as he was named AAA-6A All-Region twice as both a DB and punt returner. Odum also lined up at WR on offense. When he wasn't on the football field, the two-time sectional qualifer took on the triple jump and sprinted for Millington Central's track & field team.

During Odum's time in the NFL, he's supported a variety of causes by wearing custom cleats as a part of the NFL's annual My Cause, My Cleats campaign. Odum's organizations throughout the years include the United Way of Central Arkansas (2018-19) and Wheeler Mission Ministries (2020-21). The central theme of Odum's efforts is to help combat homelessness
In 2019, Odum, his Colts team- mates and 150 volunteers worked together to build a playground at an Indianapolis public school. Stu- dents at Francis W. Parker Elemen- tary were shocked to see mem- bers of the Colts construct a brand new playground in just 5 hours. The school also received a new outdoor classroom along with oth- er building-wide improvements.
College
Appeared in 48 games (39 starts) and recorded 350 tackles, 13 PDs, 6.5 sacks, 2 INTs, including 1 returned for a TD, 6 FFs, 4 FRs and 3 blocked kicks during his time at Central Arkansas. As a senior in 2017, was named the Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year and an FCS All-American after registering 120 tackles, 4.0 sacks, 2 PDs, 1 FF and 1 FR over 12 starts. In 2016, start- ed all 13 games and was named All-SLC after totaling 86 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 4 PDs, 4 FFs, 2 FRs, 1 INT and 2 blocked kicks. As a soph- omore in 2015, started all 11 games and finished with 67 tackles, 1 FR and 3 PDs. In 2014, appeared in 12 games (3 starts) and record- ed 77 tackles, 1 INT, 1 FF, 4 PDs, 1 blocked kick and 1 punt returned for a TD. Redshirted as a true freshman in 2013.
