Training Camp Day 6: 49ers Deep Ball Connection Heats Up
- DL Nick Bosa, RB Christian McCaffrey, OL Jake Brendel and FB Kyle Juszczyk were suited up and full participants in practices after taking the day off on Monday.
- RB Isaac Guerendo, OL Spencer Burford and OL Jon Feliciano did not practice.
- For the first time this training camp, the 49ers coaching staff introduced one-on-one drills which included pass rush drills and wide receiver versus cornerback drills.
- Veteran safety Rock Ya-Sin stood out during one-on-ones, coming up with at a couple pass breakups on throws to wide receivers Terique Owens and Ronnie Bell.
- Later in one-on-ones, Owens created some nice separations from CB Ambry Thomas to connect with QB Brandon Allen on a deep ball.
- Also in one-on-one drills, WR Jauan Jennings high pointed a ball from Purdy and avoided some sticky coverage from CB Isaac Yiadom
- Juszczyk joined in on punt returner drills alongside WRs Trent Taylor, Ronnie Bell and Ricky Pearsall.
- During 11-on-11 drills, Purdy flexed his arm with a roughly 60-yard throw to Deebo Samuel Sr. who made the catch in stride. The play was met with a huge support of the 49ers Faithful in the stands.

Christian McCaffrey Joins the Madden 99 Club
The NFL's reigning Offensive Player of the Year is one of the newest members of the Madden 99 Club.
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey earned a 99 overall rating Madden NFL 2025, the latest edition of Electronic Arts' popular video game. The All-Pro player was unveiled as the Madden 25 cover athlete in early June. He is the first player from the 49ers organization to be featured on the cover of the popular Electronic Arts video game since Garrison Hearst was on the international cover in 1999.

Brock Purdy Named No. 28 on the NFL's 'The Top 100 Players of 2024'
The second week of the NFL Network's countdown of "The Top 100 Players of 2024" is underway, and on Tuesday, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy made his top 100 debut alongside teammates Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel Sr. and the remaining of the athletes ranked 21-30. Purdy was voted onto the list at No. 28 by his peers, current NFL players, after putting together a career-best season in 2023 while leading his team to a Super Bowl LVIII run.
