The San Francisco 49ers are headed to Seattle on a short week of rest and with a number of injuries to contend with in Week 6. In addition to gameplanning for the Seahawks, the main focus of the week was rest and recovery for the 49ers, who are coming off a tough loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. The bright spots of the injury report are tight end George Kittle (ribs) and linebacker Fred Warner (ankle), both of whom avoided injury designation in Week 6 despite dealing with lingering injuries over the past couple of weeks.

Kicker Matthew Wright Touches Down in The Bay, Talanoa Hufanga Injury Update

The San Francisco 49ers filled an important need on Tuesday, signing kicker Matthew Wright to a one-year deal. With second-year pro Jake Moody battling a high ankle sprain and the team on a short week, the 49ers held expeditious tryouts and put pen to paper with Wright ahead of team travel to Seattle on Wednesday. Wright has spent time with several organizations since 2020 including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers.
