New and Notable

Training Camp Day 11: Injury Updates on Christian McCaffrey, Mitch Wishnowsky and More

• The day began with a roster move that brought a familiar face, RB Matt Breida, back to The Bay. He was signed to a one-year deal, in a corresponding move, the team placed WR Malik Turner on the Injured Reserve list. Breida is wearing jersey No. 28.
• The 49ers newest offensive lineman, Lewis Kidd, is wearing No. 66.
• A number of previously injured players appear to be trending in the right direction. CB Darrell Luter Jr., RB Isaac Guerendo, RB Elijah Mitchell, OL Spencer Burford and LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles were doing rehab work on the sidelines.
• Head coach Kyle Shanahan offered a few injury updates on players missing from Tuesday's practice:
  • RB Christian McCaffrey suffered a calf strain and is expected to be out of practice for the next couple weeks. The veteran will not be seeing any playing time this preseason.
  • Mitchell is dealing with a hamstring strain and is expected to miss "a week or so" of practice.

WWE Star Bayley Cheers on 49ers at Training Camp | Off the Field

The WWE's Women's Champion, Bayley, made a special appearance at the San Francisco 49ers Training Camp to show her love to the team ahead of the 2024 season. Under the radiant California sun, Bayley soaked in her very first training camp experience.

"I'm so glad that I get to be out here and watching open practice gets me excited to come watch games at the stadium," Bayley said.

The WWE Superstar is a lifelong fan of the 49ers, and in her visit to 49ers Camp, she reminisced about her early days growing up in San Jose, California.
