In Week 14 against the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers defensive back Deommodore Lenoir is showcasing his support for athletes with Down syndrome through a special pair of custom-designed cleats, honoring two important people in his life: his little sister, Caleya, and Charvarius Ward's late daughter, Amani. Lenoir is participating in the NFL's annual My Cause My Cleats initiative, a league-wide campaign in which players can raise awareness for personal causes using customized cleats.

With AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey (PCL) landing on the Injured Reserve list and third-year running back Jordan Mason (high ankle sprain) expected to follow, rookie Isaac Guerendo is primed to make his first-career start on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. His expanded role is one of few changes happening within the 49ers running back corps. Since the start of the week, the 49ers have elevated veteran Patrick Taylor Jr. from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and claimed former New York Jets running back Israel Abanikanda off waivers.

The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have promoted RB Patrick Taylor Jr. to the active roster from the team's practice squad. In order to make room on the roster, the team placed DL Kevin Givens on the Injured Reserve List. In addition, the team has signed RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn to the team's practice squad.
