Position-By-Position Breakdown of the 49ers 2024 Initial 53-Man Roster
Following the conclusion of the preseason slate, the San Francisco 49ers made the necessary moves to arrive at their initial 53-man roster by the NFL's August 27, 1:00 p.m. PT deadline. In addition to the players named to the 53-man roster, the team will add another 17 practice squad members in the coming days. Beginning in 2024, the league has expanded the practice squads of every team to 17 if one player is a qualifying international player.

Thanks to core 49ers corporate partners, numerous stadium and club areas will have a refreshed look and feel. Fans arriving to the stadium from the north will now enter via Xfinity Gate A, and the Cache Creek Field Club will host an all inclusive buffet for select ticket holders for the 2024 season.

Shanahan Shares Injury Updates on Floyd, Hufanga and More Following #SFvsLV
Following the conclusion of the preseason slate against the Las Vegas Raiders, head coach Kyle Shanahan offered the following updates on several players with outstanding injuries:
- DL Leonard Floyd suffered a knee injury in the first quarter of Friday's matchup and is day-to-day.
- DL Yetur Gross-Matos also suffered a knee injury early in Friday's preseason finale and will be week-to-week. The head coach noted that there has not been discussion of the Injured Reserve list when it comes to Gross-Matos and that the hope is "... he'll have a chance to get back in practice next week for Week One."
