Talanoa Hufanga Could Make His Return in Week 3 vs. Rams
The long-awaited return of safety Talanoa Hufanga could come as early as the San Francisco 49ers Week 3 matchup versus the Los Angeles Rams. On Wednesday, the fourth-year pro practiced in full for the first time since tearing his ACL in the second half of the 2023 season. His official return to practice came at the end of August, but he wasn't given the green light to be full-go until days before the 49ers first NFC West game of the year.

Power Rankings: 49ers Remain a Top Ten Contender Headed Into Week 3
A hard fought battle with the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 2 resulted in the San Francisco 49ers first loss of the 2024 season. Despite falling into an early deficit, the red and gold had a chance to complete the comeback in their final offensive possession. On the list of notable performers from Week 2 were linebacker Fred Warner (nine tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, 1.0 sack and two pass breakups, defensive lineman Nick Bosa (five tackles, 2.0 sacks) and running back Jordan Mason (20 carries for 100 yards). While the outcome wasn't what San Francisco had hoped for, the team's top tier talent and ability to overcome a slow start with tactical plays down the stretch showed how the 49ers are a threat in every outing.
