The San Francisco 49ers remain in search of a new head coach.
Since the franchise parted ways with Jim Tomsula on Jan. 3, there have been several respected football coaches linked in various reports to the opening in San Francisco.
"We have a plan in place," general manager Trent Baalke said of the franchise's search. "We know the directions we're going. We've just got to make it fit with the schedules that are out there that these men are tied to."
The 49ers have been linked to several coaches in the first week of the coaching vacancy.
"It's a job people respond to and respect," Baalke said of the 49ers opening. "We've got to get this one right."
