Congratulations are in order for San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody, who was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 1. The sophomore specialist converted on each of his six field goal attempts from 46, 51, 31, 53, 23 and 42 yards out and both of his extra point attempts in the 49ers "Monday Night Football" matchup versus the New York Jets. Moody's money performance accounted for 20 of San Francisco's 32 points on the night.
His six field goals made on Monday night marked a career-high for Moody and tied the franchise record for the most field goals made in a single game. He now holds that franchise record with former 49ers kickers Robbie Gould, Jeff Wilkins and Ray Wersching.
