Deebo Samuel's game will be put to the test on Wednesday as the San Francisco 49ers receiver will go head-to-head with other NFL Pros in a live Madden tournament. The Checkdown and EA are hosting an EA Madden NFL charity tournament featuring eight NFL superstars to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts.
The NFL Foundation and EA will make a $5,000 donation on behalf of each participant and an additional $20,000 on behalf of the winner to charities supporting COVID-19 relief efforts. These include support for the most vulnerable populations, including the elderly, poor and school-aged children.
Samuel is set to take on fellow NFL wideout DeSean Jackson in a single-elimination Madden tournament that will be live-streamed on Twitch. Other participants in the tournament include Denzel Ward and Jarvis Landry of the Cleveland Browns, Tyrann Mathieu and Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs and Derwin James and Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers.
Round 1 of the tournament will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 5 p.m. PT. The semi-finals are set to take place on Thursday, April 2, followed by the championship round. To watch the tournaments live, head to EA Madden's Twitch channel on Wednesday.
