The San Francisco 49ers have signed cornerback Kenneth Acker to a four-year deal.
Acker (6-0, 195) was selected by the 49ers in the sixth-round (180th overall) in this year's draft out of Southern Methodist University. In 46 games (38 starts) over four seasons with the Mustangs, he finished his collegiate career with 159 tackles, 29 passes defensed, seven interceptions and 1.0 sack. He also tallied 15 kickoff returns for 340 yards (22.7 average) and 14 punt returns for 113 yards (8.1 average). As a senior in 2013, Acker earned Second-Team All-American Athletic Conference honors after starting all 12 games and notching 46 tackles, 13 passes defensed, three interceptions and 1.0 sack.
A 22-year old native of Portland, OR, Acker attended Grant High School.
