The San Francisco 49ers announced on Friday that they have signed OL Daniel Brunskill to a one-year deal.
Brunskill (6-5, 260) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 1, 2017. Following his release from the team on September 2, 2017, he was signed to Atlanta's practice squad the following day where he spent the entire season.
In 2018, Brunskill signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Falcons on January 15 and spent the entire season on the team's practice squad. He later signed with the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) where he started eight games at tackle.
A 25-year-old native of Valley Center, CA, Brunskill attended San Diego State University (2012-16), where he appeared in 54 games after switching from tight end to offensive line prior to his senior season. As a senior in 2016, he earned Second-Team All-Mountain West honors after starting 14 games along the offensive line. He registered 15 receptions for 143 yards and three touchdowns throughout his career at tight end.
