Kyle Shanahan touched down in the Bay Area on Wednesday afternoon and got a tour of his new digs at the San Francisco 49ers team facility. The team's head coach was joined by general manager John Lynch for their first glimpses of the SAP Performance Facility and Levi's® Stadium.
The two men tasked with turning the 49ers around also made their deals official on Wednesday, each signing their respective contract.
Now the work begins. Shanahan is busy putting together his coaching staff and Lynch is currently getting up to speed on San Francisco's roster. There are sure to be more new faces that join the team in the coming weeks leading up to the NFL Scouting Combine at the end of the month.
A reminder that Shanahan and Lynch will formally be announced to the media and 49ers fans on Thursday at 1 p.m. PT from the Levi's® Stadium auditorium. Fans can tune in on 49ers.com, the team's official mobile app, Facebook Live and Periscope. A special episode of "49ers Live" will immediately follow the presser with Ted Robinson and Tim Ryan. Lynch will be a special in-studio guest as well.
