The San Francisco 49ers announced on Thursday that they have activated S Marcell Harris and LB Dekoda Watson to the active roster from the Injured Reserve/Designated for Return List and promoted CB Emmanuel Moseley to the active roster from the team's practice squad. In order to make room on the roster, the team has waived QB Tom Savage. The team also signed WR Victor Bolden Jr. and DB Greg Mabin to the team's practice squad and released WR Aaron Burbridge.
Harris (6-0, 208) was originally selected in the sixth round (184th overall) of this year's NFL Draft out of the Univesity of Florida. He was placed on the Injured Reserve List on September 3, 2018.
A 24-year-old native of Orlando, FL, Harris played in 37 games (nine starts) in five years for the Gators and registered 102 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and three passes defensed.
Harris will wear number 36.
*Watson *(6-2, 245) signed with the team as a free agent on March 17, 2017. He appeared in 14 games in 2017 and finished with three tackles on defense and six special teams tackles, which was tied for second on the team. He was placed on the Injured Reserve List on September 8, 2018.
Watson will wear number 97.
A 22-year-old native of Greensboro, NC, Moseley (5-11, 184) originally signed with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 1, 2018 out of the University of Tennessee. He appeared in 51 games (30 starts) and recorded 142 tackles, 31 passes defensed, two interceptions and 9.5 tackles for loss during his four seasons with the Volunteers. As a senior in 2017, he appeared in 12 games (11 starts) and registered 38 tackles, eight passes defensed and one interception.
Moseley will wear number 41.
Bolden Jr. (5-8, 178) appeared in four games this season with the 49ers and registered one reception for 10 yards, while Mabin (6-2, 200) appeared in six games (one start) this season and registered 10 tackles and one forced fumble. Both were waived by the team on October 30, 2018.
Burbridge (6-1, 208) was signed to the team's practice squad on October 23, 2018.
