Benton, 53, enters his first season as the 49ers offensive line coach after spending the 2016 season as an assistant offensive line coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He joined the Jaguars after spending two seasons (2014-15) as the offensive line coach of the Miami Dolphins. Prior to Miami, Benton spent eight years (2006-13) as the offensive line coach for the Houston Texans. He originally entered the NFL coaching ranks in 2004, where he spent two seasons (2004-05) with the St. Louis Rams as their offensive line coach. Benton began his coaching career at Colorado State as a graduate assistant (1987-90) before serving as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator (1990-94) at California University (Pa.). He returned to Colorado State in 1995, where he served as the offensive line coach (1995-99) and co-offensive coordinator (2000-03) for the Rams. A native of Durant, CO, Benton was a four-year starter as an offensive lineman at Colorado State (1983-86).
Bullocks, 33, enters his first season as the 49ers assistant defensive backs coach after spending the 2016 season in the same role with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2015, he spent one season at Eastern Michigan University as an assistant coach/cornerbacks. Bullocks initially entered the coaching ranks in 2012 at the University of Northern Iowa, where he was the assistant coach/secondary for three seasons (2012-14). Originally a 2nd round draft choice (40th overall) of the Detroit Lions in the 2006 NFL Draft, he appeared in 31 games (22 starts) over his four seasons in Detroit. Bullocks totaled 115 tackles, four passes defensed, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and 1.0 sack during his NFL career. A native of Chattanooga, TN, he played safety at the University of Nebraska (2001-05), where he earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors as a junior and senior.
Clay, 25, enters his second season with the 49ers and first as a strength & conditioning assistant after spending the 2016 season as assistant special teams coach with the team. He joined San Francisco after spending the prior two seasons (2014-15) as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff. In 2015, Clay served as a special teams assistant for the Eagles where he helped RB Darren Sproles earn his second career Pro Bowl selection as a return specialist after leading the NFL in punt return yards (446) and return touchdowns (two). He originally joined Philadelphia as a defensive quality control coach in 2014. Clay was a four-year letterman as a linebacker for the University of Oregon (2009-12) and earned Second-Team All-Pac-12 honors as a senior in 2012. Following his college career, he signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
Kwan, 49, enters his first season with the 49ers as an assistant special teams coach after spending the previous four seasons (2013-16) in the same capacity with the New Orleans Saints. Prior to New Orleans, he spent three years (2010-12) as an assistant special teams coach with the Buffalo Bills. Kwan joined the Bills after six seasons with the Detroit Lions, where he served as an assistant special teams and offensive assistant (2004-05), assistant special teams coach (2006) and special teams coordinator (2007-09). Prior to Detroit, he was with the Arizona Cardinals as an assistant special teams and defensive quality control coach for three seasons (2001-03). Kwan joined the Lions organization in 1997 as an offensive and special teams assistant for four seasons (1997-2000). He originally entered the NFL coaching ranks with the San Diego Chargers, where he spent six years as a coaching staff assistant, offensive and assistant special teams and offensive assistant. A native of Phoenix, AZ, Kwan played baseball for three seasons at San Diego State and graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
Oghobaase, 30, enters his second season in the NFL as the 49ers assistant defensive line coach. He joined San Francisco in 2016 after spending the previous three years (2013-15) as a defensive graduate assistant at Ohio State University. He began his coaching career as a defensive graduate assistant at Duke University (2011-12). Oghobaase was a four-year defensive tackle at Duke (2006-09), where he saw action in 44 games and registered 165 tackles, 14.0 sacks and 36.5 tackles for loss. After graduating in 2010 with a degree in sociology, he signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins and later played with the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League (UFL). Oghobaase also spent time on the Washington Redskins practice squad in 2010.
Ryans, 32, enters his first season with the 49ers as a defensive quality control coach. Originally drafted in the second round (33rd overall) by the Houston Texans in the 2006 NFL Draft, he spent 10 seasons in the NFL with the Texans (2006-11) and Philadelphia Eagles (2012-15). Ryans appeared in 140 games (139 starts) and registered 735 tackles, 46 passes defensed, 13.5 sacks, 10 fumble recoveries and seven interceptions. During his career, he earned AP Defensive Rookie of the Year (2006) and First-Team All-Pro (2007) honors in addition to being named to two Pro Bowls (2007, 2009). A native of Bessemer, AL, Ryan played linebacker the University of Alabama (2002-05), where he was named First-Team All-SEC, a unanimous All-American and SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2005.
Stenavich, 33, enters his first season as the 49ers assistant offensive line coach after spending the previous two seasons (2015-16) as the offensive line coach at San Jose State University. Prior to his time with the Spartans, he was the offensive line coach at Northern Arizona University for one season (2014). Stenavich began his coaching career at his alma mater, the University of Michigan, where he was a graduate assistant for two seasons (2012-13) after spending the 2011 season as a strength & conditioning intern with the school. A native of Marshfield, WI, he appeared in 42 games (39 starts) at left tackle during his career (2001-05) at Michigan. Stenavich signed as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2006, played for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europa in 2007 and spent time with the Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.
