Johnson (6-2, 208) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2023. Throughout his two-year NFL career with the Rams (2023-24) and Chicago Bears (2023-24) he has appeared in nine games and registered two tackles, one interception and one pass defensed. After spending training camp with the Bears in 2024, Johnson signed to Chicago's practice squad on August 28, 2024 and was released from the team the following day. He then signed to the Rams practice squad on September 18 where he spent the remainder of the season.
A 25-year-old native of New Orleans, LA, Johnson attended Memphis University (2018-22) where he appeared in 49 games and totaled 320 tackles, 34 passes defensed, 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 1.0 sack and earned First-Team All-AAC honors as a senior in 2022.
