Dominic DeCicco is in his eighth season with the 49ers and first as director of college scouting. He spent the previous two seasons (2022-23) as a national scout and four seasons (2018-21) as the team's area scout. He joined the organization in a full-time capacity in the 2017 season as an assistant in the scouting department. In 2016, he interned during training camp through the Nunn-Wooten fellowship.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, DeCicco graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 with a degree in communications and a minor in computer science. He played safety for the Pitt football team and was a two-time all-Big East selection and voted team captain as a senior.
DeCicco signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2011, where he spent two seasons as a reserve linebacker and special teams player, appearing in 20 games. He also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before finishing his career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2015.
DeCicco currently resides in Denver, CO, with his wife Danielle. The couple has a son, Dominic, and two daughters, Demi and Dylan.
