Cristina Hernandez is in her sixth season with the 49ers and currently serves as vice president, people operations. In her role, she oversees compensation, benefits, employee onboarding/offboarding, and employee relations for the team and the stadium management company.
Previously, she served as a Senior Manager and Director for the team. Prior to joining the 49ers, Hernandez was the Director of Human Resources for the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on engaging students in hands-on, sustainable, and affordable STEM education programs. In this role, she built the HR function from the ground up and administered the scholarship program. Prior to joining the REC Foundation, Hernandez held a variety of HR leadership positions for both large and small organizations.
Hernandez currently serves as a board advisory member for Town Cats of Morgan Hill, a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization. She was previously on the board of directors.
Hernandez is a Bay Area native and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Hernandez and her family currently reside in San Jose, CA.
