Jordan Hogan is entering his first season as a 49ers offensive coaching fellow after initially joining the team in 2023 under the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship. He joined the 49ers after spending the 2022 season as the wide receivers coach at Colgate University.
In his role with the 49ers, Hogan works with the wide receivers, helping them execute practice and game plans. In 2023, he helped WR Brandon Aiyuk earn AP Second-Team All-Pro honors after he registered a career-high 1,342 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Aiyuk's 17.9 yards per reception ranked second in the NFL. San Francisco's offense also saw with WR Deebo Samuel Sr. register a career-high seven receiving touchdowns in 2023, in addition to a career-high 60 receptions.
Prior to joining the 49ers, Hogan was the wide receivers coach at Colgate University. He made multiple stops in the collegiate ranks, serving a brief stint as a quality control coach at the University of Buffalo (2022), wide receivers coach at Cornell University (2017-20) and wide receivers coach at Buffalo State College (2013-16). Hogan also served as the quarterbacks coach for USA Football in 2016 as part of the program's Development Games.
Hogan has also served in the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Baltimore Ravens (2019), Indianapolis Colts (2017) and Buffalo Bills (2016). He spent two seasons (2020-21) with the Arizona Cardinals as part of the Bill Bidwill Fellowship. With Arizona, he helped QB Kyler Murray finish the 2021 season with the second-highest completion percentage (69.2) in the NFL.
A native of Newfane, NY, Hogan earned his bachelor's degree in communications and media studies from The State University of New York, Brockport in 2013. He earned Second-Team All-NJAC honors as a wide receiver in 2011 after leading the team in receiving yards (685), receiving touchdowns (five), receiving yards per game (68.5) and sharing the team lead in receptions (47). Hogan was named a team captain his senior year and currently ranks seventh all-time in career receiving yards (1,546) and 11th all-time in career receptions (108) at Brockport. He currently resides in San Jose, CA, with his wife, Kayla, and their two daughters, Mara Ann and Mila Belle.
