The San Francisco 49ers announced on Friday a new partnership with Accelar, a Silicon Valley based Web 2.0 company, to develop and market www.49ersExperience.com, the official game day transportation booking site of the 49ers.
The "49ers Experience" offers fan transportation aboard luxurious motor coaches from many locations all across Northern California along with a variety of additional package offerings from tickets to raffle prizes. Packages are designed to address the needs of fans, from the time they are picked up, until the time they are dropped off and to deliver the Ultimate Game Day Experience to the fans.
"The 49ers Experience packages enable us to further enhance and extend the game day experience for our fans," said Jim Mercurio, Vice President, Stadium Operations & Security for the 49ers. "It provides a safe, comfortable and reliable alternative mode of transportation, with a number of amenities, to and from Candlestick Park."
49ersExpress Game Day and Tailgate services are round-trip transportation services to Candlestick Park. These services will be offered for all 49ers home games starting with the first pre-season game on August 22 against the Minnesota Vikings from over 20 Bay Area cities / locations including:
-San Francisco: Multiple locations
-Peninsula: San Mateo, San Carlos, Pacifica, Half Moon Bay, Palo Alto, Burlingame and San Bruno
-South Bay: Mountain View, San Jose, Morgan Hill
-East Bay: Fremont, Union City, Oakland, Walnut Creek, Fairfield
-North Bay: Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Petaluma, Novato
-Central Valley: Pleasanton, Tracy
The San Francisco 49ers and Accelar agreed to a multi-year agreement to develop 49ersExperience.com, a state-of-the-art Internet Portal, to develop, market, power and manage the 49ersExperience offering, and host and manage 49ersExperience call center. As part of this Agreement, the 49ers have granted Accelar exclusive license to use the 49ersExperience service mark for a period of four years starting with the 2010 football season.
