San Francisco 49ers to Hold Joint Practices with Denver Broncos

The San Francisco 49ers will hold joint training camp practices with the Denver Broncos leading up to a Week 3 preseason matchup in Denver. The 49ers have confirmed the news that was first reported by Denver's 9News on Thursday.

Dates and times of the joint practices at Denver's Dove Valley headquarters will be announced at a later date. San Francisco's preseason road game in Denver will take place at Sports Authority Field on Aug. 29.

The 49ers held joint training camp practices with the Baltimore Ravens in 2014 and with the Oakland Raiders in 2010. The workouts with the Broncos will go down during a critical portion of the preseason where players are making their final cases to be incluced on the 53-man roster. Practices against future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning will also benefit the 49ers new-look defense greatly. Eric Mangini and his 3-4 defensive unit will have plenty of valuable tape to learn from prior to the regular season.

San Francisco and Denver both have new head coaches in 2015. Jim Tomsula and Gary Kubiak will be at the helm when the clubs practice before the important dress-rehearsal preseason matchup.
