BENEFITS OF 49ERS OFFSEASON
I think that was a great help, especially in the spring. The OTAs and minicamps helped a lot. We'd go over our base defenses and when we got into training camp everything started up again. It was like a review. In the beginning you get the general ideas down and once you get everything down again, you can focus and fine-tune your technique with the little details of the game.

I think it's helpful when you're able to get more reps. That's the biggest thing, the reps allow you to step in there and actually do it. It helps with all the learning you're doing in training camp.
PLAYING ILB POSITION WITH SMALLER BODY
Playing behind Joe Staley and NaVorro Bowman is the perfect situation for me to learn. We have a lot of the same physical characteristics, so I watch them all the time. I watch what they do. Their footwork, their technique, is the best in the league. I try to learn as much from them two as I can. They're really helpful, too.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WILLIS AND BOWMAN**
They're really similar. But, they're different at the same time. It's hard to describe unless you're sitting there watching them to play at the same time. That's really the only way I can put it. It all comes down to the details of their game.
TRAINING CAMP GRIND
I wouldn't say it's like college. In college you think it's the hardest thing to do, but here, it's not so much physically demanding, it's more mentally demanding. All the meeting times and the amount of focus it takes, it really is a big difference.
COMPETING FOR 49ERS SPECIAL TEAMS
Brad Seely, our coordinator, is a great coach. He covers every detail on special teams. You could ask him anything and he would help you get it right.
LOSING EARRINGS AT PRACTICE
I lost both of them. I was hitting and lost both my earrings. I have screw-ins and I usually wear them at practice. I'd always wear them in games, practices, everything. I was checking when I took my helmet and noticed they were gone. I touched my ears and knew I had no idea where they were at. I figured they wouldn't be found out there, so I just said forget it… They're a donation to whoever finds them.
OFF THE FIELD PASSIONI'm big on music. I love music. I'm always downloading music, looking for new music and I'm always thinking back on music I used to listen to. I like to find them and put them on my computer. That's my No. 1 thing to do. But also, of course I love videos games like everybody else. My favorite game is FIFA. I love FIFA, but nobody will play me. After our first rookie minicamp I played one of the rookies at the team hotel and now nobody wants to play me. There's no big FIFA players around here I guess.
PRESEASON GAMES ON DECK
I'm excited. My mom and my aunt are coming out for our first game. I'm just excited to get in a game and put everything I've learned in practice and put it to use against somebody else. We've faced our offense all the time, so it'll be good to compete against another team. 49ERS.COM SUGGESTS:__
