The San Francisco 49ers QB1 was a limited participant in practice for a second-straight day. Brock Purdy emerged from the team's Week 11 matchup versus the Seattle Seahawks with right shoulder soreness, and that injury has lingered midway through the week.
While head coach Kyle Shanahan did not have media availability on Thursday, he did comment on Purdy's progress over the last two days of practice on KNBR's "The Shanahan Show" with Adam Copeland.
"He was still limited (Thursday)," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "He didn't do as much (Wednesday). He did a little more (Thursday). By no means was he doing his normal workload. He went out there and did a little bit and went back in about halfway through and rested his arm up, just continuing his rehab. Hopefully, it will be great on Sunday."
The 49ers quarterback options behind Purdy include Brandon Allen, who was named the backup in September, Joshua Dobbs and Tanner Mordecai, who is on the practice squad.
Other injuries to keep an eye out for include that of defensive lineman Nick Bosa (hip/oblique) and left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) who have been sidelined the last two days of practice.
