The 49ers announced the opening of a new 49ers Team Store location at Westfield Valley Fair in Silicon Valley on Thursday, August 8th. The 49ers will host a grand opening celebration at the new team store, located next to Macy's, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 17th. Gold rush cheerleaders will welcome fans as they arrive at the store. Event attendees will receive an exclusive 49ers item and can enter to win tickets to the 49ers season opener vs. the Green Bay Packers on September 8, 2013 at Candlestick Park.
In early September, the 49ers will also open a second location at Westfield San Francisco Centre, which marks the third team store in less than a year. In addition to the two new locations in San Jose and San Francisco, the original team store is located in the Town & Country Village in Palo Alto, California.
"The 49ers organization is thrilled to continue to open team stores throughout the Bay Area, offering our Faithful Fans easy access to their favorite team's latest merchandise," said 49ers chief operating officer Paraag Marathe. "Our partnership with Westfield Valley Fair and Westfield San Francisco Centre allows us to build a visible presence in local communities, while providing our fans additional opportunities to connect with our team. In a short time, there will be three official team store locations in the Bay Area, and we look forward to opening more, including the location at Levi's® Stadium."
