Marquise Goodwin, Carlos Hyde Good to Go Against Colts

It comes as no surprise that both Eric Reid (knee) and Reuben Foster (ankle) are out on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Reid is still recovering from a PCL injury in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, while Foster is rehabbing a high-ankle sprain from the season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

Foster did not practice this week, however he was seen on the field stretching with his teammates.

Kyle Shanahan said on Friday he believes both Foster and Reid could potentially return Week 6 against the Washington Redskins.

"Our goal is realistically to try get him out to practice on Wednesday. And then we're going to play it from there," Shanahan said. "Same thing with E. Reid. They're both kind of in the same boat. They're definitely more ready to practice this week. We're anticipating they'll be ready to go on Wednesday. Then it will be a day-to-day thing to see I f they have a chance in that game."

Marquise Goodwin, who left last Sunday's game with a concussion, has been limited this week at practice. He's listed as questionable but is expected to be a full participant against the Colts.

Pierre Garçon, who has been dealing with a hip injury since Week 3, said he feels "much better" this week leading up to Sunday. He's not even listed on the 49ers final injury report.

Hyde played through his injury last week against the Cardinals and finished with 16 carries for 68 yards and five catches for 27 yards in the 49ers overtime loss. Matt Breida had been nursing an ankle injury but will be a full go as well.

Safety Adrian Colbert (hamstring) and Dekoda Watson (groin) did not practice this week and will not play on Sunday. That means rookies Ahkello Witherspoon and Pita Taumoepenu may be active on Sunday.

As for Indianapolis, the Colts are without three of their starters on Sunday. In addition to quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder), rookie cornerback Nate Hairston (quad) and tight end Jack Doyle (concussion) are ruled out against San Francisco.

The complete list of inactive players will be released 90 minutes prior to kickoff on Sunday. Stay tuned to 49ers.com for updates.
