Lynbrook's Titzer Named HS Player of the Week

The 49ers High School Player of the Week Award for week two goes to Emre Titizer from Lynbrook High School in San Jose. 

Last Friday, Lynbrook beat James Lick 33-7.

At 6'3" and 240-pounds, Titizer plays both linebacker and tight end. In Friday's game, he had 3 catches for 89 yards and one touchdown. On defense, he was relentless with 10 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble.

In three games, Titizer has 30 tackles, 3 ½ sacks, one blocked kick, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

"Emre is a hard-nosed, tough minded, blue collar type of football player," said Ray Wright, Head Football Coach of Lynbrook High School. "His work ethic is something to be recognized."

Titizer, a senior with a 3.4 GPA, is also involved in track & field and basketball. Upon graduation, he has plans to attend a four-year University and play football.

For being named 49ers High School Player of the Week, Titizer will receive a certificate signed by 49ers Head Coach Mike Nolan, a 49ers hat and t-shirt, two tickets to a 49ers home game and recognition on 49ers.com. At the end of the season Titizer will be invited to the 49ers Training Facility to accept a wooden football trophy from 49ers Head Coach Mike Nolan.

Week Two: Emre Titizer from Lynbrook High School
