Levi's® Stadium Named Sports Facility of the Year

The home of the San Francisco 49ers received quite the honor on Wednesday night.

Levi's® Stadium was named "Sports Facility of the Year" in the United States by the *Sports Business Journal. *The 49ers home venue was up against quality competition: AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys), McLane Stadium (home of the Baylor Bears), Staples Center (home of the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and Kings) and lastly, University of Phoenix Stadium (home of the Arizona Cardinals).

The Levi's® Stadium victory was celebrated on social media immediately after the announcement.

Al Guido, the 49ers Chief Operating Officer, summed up the victory best with this tweet: "Thank you to the folks who made @LevisStadium happen. We celebrate tonight - tomorrow we continue yr2 planning."

The 49ers home stadium hosted 10 NFL games in its first year of operation. In addition, the stadium saw hockey, college football, concerts, youth football, soccer, motorcross, monster trucks and even WrestleMania make its way through the building.

In year 2, the young venue will host a little game called "Super Bowl 50."
