49ers Name Coach Tony Keefer of Tamalpais H.S. Coach of the Week
*The San Francisco 49ers Charlie Wedemeyer Coach of the Week award presented by Kelly-Moore Paints for week six goes to Tony Keefer from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley.
This past Saturday, the Red Tailed Hawks beat Terra Linda High School 39-16. Tamalpais is now 5-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Marin County Athletic League.
Coach Keefer has been instrumental in creating a winning program at Tamalpais High School, which prior to his arrival was on a 12-game losing streak and had won only three of their last 40 games.
In addition to being named Coach of the Week, Coach Keefer and the Tamalpais football program will now receive $1,000 from the 49ers Foundation, along with a $500 gift certificate from Kelly-Moore Paints to go towards beautifying Tamalpais High School.
