The San Francisco 49ers are hosting open auditions for the opportunity to join the 49ers 2013 Gold Rush Squad. The Gold Rush is one of the NFL's premiere performance groups and will be selecting 32 girls for the team.
The four-phase process will begin with preliminary auditions, on Saturday, April 6 at Maples Pavilion at Stanford University. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Phase one of prelims will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by phase two of prelims from 3:15 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Applicants will be required to learn a short dance combination taught by a professional choreographer and perform that routine in a group in front of a panel of judges. Applicants will be judged on dance ability, crowd appeal, showmanship and individual applications. At the end of the preliminary auditions, a group of finalists will be selected.
Finalists selected on April 6th must be available for a finals prep class, interview and finals dance audition on Thursday, April 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Final auditions will be the only phase open to the public. Tickets will be available for $20 each on http://49ers.eventbrite.com and $25 at the door.
