Tuesday's Niners Daily shares a full list of dates for the San Francisco 49ers nine-week offseason program.*
And so it begins.
Members of the 49ers have arrived in Santa Clara, Calif., for the start of the team's voluntary offseason workouts.
The nine-week program is broken down into three phases:
Phase One (begins April 7)
The first two weeks of the program consists of activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only.
**
Phase Two**
On-field workouts may include individual player instruction and drills as well as team practice conducted on a "separates" basis. No live contact or team offense versus team defense drills are permitted.
Phase Three
Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or "OTAs". No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.
In addition to those segments of the offseason program, it's worth noting the dates of the OTAs and minicamps, where players on the roster will get the opportunity to compete for coveted roles on offense, defense and special teams.
Here are those important offseason dates:
Organized Team Activities (voluntary)
May 19-21, May 27-29, June 1-2 and June 4-5
Minicamp (voluntary)
April 28-30
Minicamp (mandatory) June 9-11
Several members of the roster have gone on social media to share their thoughts on arriving at team headquarters:
