Eric Reid is not a rookie anymore.
Ten games and two concussions into his NFL career, the 49ers safety has played like a veteran from the start. In addition to becoming a force alongside Donte Whitner on the back line of the team's stout defense, Reid has snared three interceptions and recovered two fumbles.
His play isn't going unnoticed across the league.
PRO BOWL VOTE: **SEND 49ERS TO HAWAII**
Reid has racked up the second-most Pro Bowl votes (62,319) among free safeties, NFL.com revealed on Wednesday. He trails only his Seattle Seahawks peer, Earl Thomas.
Also: Joe Staley (106,074) is listed second among offensive tackles, while Andy Lee (49,598) currently sits second among punters.

FRANK GORE
The franchise's all-time rushing king isn't taking his crown off anytime soon. Gore, a fourt-time Pro Bowler in his ninth NFL season, is on pace for 1,197 yards this season, which would be his fourth-highest single-season total. He also has seven touchdowns through 10 starts and could easily break his career single-season record in the category, which stands at 10.
VERNON DAVIS
Davis, a 2010 Pro Bowl pick, has caught eight of Colin Kaepernick's 11 touchdown passes. As the team's downfield threat, he has taken the heat off No. 1 wideout Anquan Boldin, who has caught Kaepernick's other three scoring tosses. Davis has overcome a hamstring injury and a concussion. He already has five more receiving yards, 553, in nine games than he did in 16 games last season.
RAY McDONALD
If there is honor in playing hurt, McDonald has earned it. The seven-year pro has kept his play at a high level despite playing with a tear in his bicep muscle. An ankle injury also cost him action during the team's Week 11 defeat in New Orleans, but those who know McDonald expect him to battle back to the field and excel there the rest of the way.
PHIL DAWSON
One of the bright spots from last Sunday, Dawson executed two field goals, including a 55-yarder that represented the second-longest successful try of his 15-year career. All told in his first season in San Francisco, the veteran has made 14 of his 17 tries. He made his Pro Bowl debut following last season.
