Fourth-year linebacker NaVorro Bowman was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for December.
It is Bowman's first-career Player of the Month award, accomplishing that feat in record fashion.
According to the NFL, Bowman is the first player in the last 20 years to record 45 tackles, three or more sacks, two interceptions, a touchdown return, two or more forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in the same month.
